770 Hydraulic Oil????

Hey guys I just bought a 1958 770 gas job..wfe, pretty straight! My first Oliver, although grew up raking hay with my dad's 88! My question is can I use IH hy-tran fluid when I change the hydraulic fluid?? I have some good oil left over from the 766! Thanks!!

I use hy-tran in my '62 770 and haven't had a bit of trouble. i've also got some IH tractors and it's just simpler to have only one type of hydraulic oil for everything.

I use JD Hy-Guard in my 770 because I have several JDs that require it. I believe either IH Hy-Tran or JD Hy-Guard is fine in those older Olivers.
