830 Case Power Steering Pump Seal

How big of a job is it to replace the front seal on a 1964 Case 830 power steering pump? I have one that is making quite a mess.

Looks like a common Eaton pump per the Messicks parts diagrams, they show a seal available. Should not be to tough to replace if the shaft is not grooved to bad.

It's not hard at all, worst is getting the pulley off. Then it's just disassembly and reassembly.

Add to that. Align the pulley on the pump to match the drive pulley so the belt pulls straight.
