This is the tractor I posted about a while back, my buddy just bought it from his brother. There's more to the story. It did belong to a gentleman that was one year ahead of me, in our small school. His dad was a local crop farmer, and kept his equipment in immaculate condition. When Charlie turned 16 (1962), he got his dad's 1953 Ford 1/2 ton. It looked like it just came off the showroom floor, inside and out. Their tractors, trucks, and equipment wee equally well maintained. Shortly after graduation, Charlie took over running the farm. Late in my Junior year, I remember them buying a new John Deere. I can't guarantee that this is the same one, but there is a good possibility. After his passing, his two sons didn't want it, so they sold it to a friend (the brother of my buddy) The older son said that their dad very rarely used it, just moved vegetable bins with it occasionally. If I get a chance, I'm going to try to find out if it's their original, and if it is original condition, or a darned good restoration. It's no perfect, but about a 9 out of 10, Putting skid steer conversion kits on 3 loaders, and plates on all attachments, so that any one can be used with anything else.
