A 145, I think it was, came with the 2510 in the spring of 1966. Our first, real semi-mounted plow on our first three point hitch tractor. Lots of firsts there, with power steering too. First trip bottom plow. It was a whole new world. The tractor was synchro-range, gas powered, with 15.5x38 tires. It pulled the 3 16's in 4th gear handsomely. That really impressed me many years later when I learned that the engine was only 180 cubic inches.

Beautifully restored JD with the right power for your new 3 bottom moldboard. Really beautiful soil too.....sure beats my Houston Black Clay........

Very nice. When I was a kid the "big" tractor of the guy I worked for was an Oliver 1550. When I got real lucky I would get to pull a 3-16 semi-mount with auto reset with it. I was living large..

Sharp looking both. I see you have the side console. Is that gear shift the big curved handle like a 4320, or 4000?
Longer handle and bent nice?
I grew up on a 4320 stock cab tall air cleaner, 20.8-34"

It is a late 71 model so yes it does have the tall shifter. My dad bought it in about 1989. He had bought a new one in 1972 but had sold it. In the mid 90's it got water in the oil and a collector friend bought it and restored it. Dad was killed in 2000 in a farm accident and the friend said my oldest son could have it when he turned 16. In 2010 we went and picked it up.
