Any 1954 farmall 400"s out there don"t see them much

I have a 1955. I don't have any pictures of it though. Never saw many in my area. Seems like everyone around here went from the letter series right to the 06/56 series

Following the letter series, there were a few 300-450 series near here, but a lot more 460-560 tractors. It might have to do with only having the 400 and the 450 series each only built for two years.

My neighbor has a 400 wide front. That is a sweet tractor. Uses it on the baler. His has ta. Power steering has something to be desired though.

I have a 55 400 as well. I have a Schwartz wide front for it. I grew up on this tractor on the family farm. She is tired and needs an overhaul and a TA rebuild. Get that all done in my spare time...

I have a 1956 with narrow front end, TA and fast hitch.

I am in the process of restoring a 1955 400 gas that Grandpa bought brand new. It's being painted now. Can't wait to get it back.

Used to have November 54 built 3 digit serial number gas and 400D. Picture of Diesel. Had a regular drawbar until I added the 2 point hitch. Nice tractor with IH power steering added that worked nice. Had the metal cover under steering wheel nut that said power steering. Should have kept that tractor. Gas had the early fast hitch with two hydraulic cylinders.
