Apparently, proprioception is something you should have......if you have problems with it, you suffer from unsteadiness on your feet.

i read with great interest about this in earlier post ,i can relate to alot of what was stated . ,. some of you may recall I have neurotherapy in my feet caused chemo poisoning in 2016 to cure my cancer,.
Thankfully i am STILL cancer free. and yet I STILL have neurotherapy.2 months ago I signed on for Infared light treatment. for 2 hours per day i have been Velcro booting it , 30 minutes per leg ..when I learned that gabapentin was shrinking blood vessels to defer the pain, stopped taking gabapentin after 2 weeks of the lites .. it was still painful, until lately, I think I am gaining on the troubles in my legs and feet. the PLAN also comes with a vitamin nutrition pack that has had a positive effect on my system. i got to admit, it is a lot of work to keep up with. but i know where my feet are now,, 3 months ago they were pushing on the gas when intended to use the brake ,,.. and THAT IS WHY I DECIDED I NEED TO FIX THIS. I HAVE HOPES FOR A 90 PERCENT RECOVERY OVER THE NEXT 2 YRS. happy new year

Infrared light treatment sounds interesting to me. I would like to hear success or failure stories from those that have used it. Best of luck to olgentdc on your journey.

My foot problems started 20 years ago at age 55 with taking my boots off 2-3 times a day to try to get the pebbles out, but never finding any. Then it seemed that my worse problems were due to feet getting larger with age. I got some relief with "Easy Feet" inner soles. I custom modified them to compensate for stone bruises and Taylor's bunyon, and found substantial relief. Still in pain but much less. I finally got a referral to the podiatrist and got a script for custom orthotics. They have helped a lot! After a year I was going down hill again, and to avoid pain I was wearing light ventilated sneakers a lot in the cold. I told the Doc that I wanted to get the taylor's bunyon fixed surgically. I knew that it could be done. He told me not me, I could lose the whole foot because my feet were so bad. He sent me for a second opinion. The second doc told me that I have "Reynaud's Syndrome" I learned that I have to be very careful to keep my feet from getting cold. I took great care, including a pair of insulated hiking boots, and my feet improved to the point that 10 months ago I got the taylor's bunyon repaired. I still have to be very careful especially of the cold, but I am able for the most part to get my 10,000 steps/day and keep my general health up.

I know all to well what you're talking about. I also had chemotherapy to cure my cancer. Now I have incredible neuropathy in both of my feet and some numbness on my fingers. I did have a little neuropathy before this cancer but the chemotherapy made it much worse. I'm going to have to try that light treatments.
