Case 400b revisited here are some pictures of the tractor. The gears grind quite a bit. It sounds like you have to start out in gear with the clutch down. What size tires do you think it has? The left rear rim needs replaced. It leaks oil out at the starter. The lift will not go down, when the lever is pushed down. I still haven't seen the tractor in person. Thank you fellow J.I. I don't know what it is? I haven't seen the tractor in person. I don't know much about these tractors.

Looks like has char-lin power steering. An aftermarket item.

Might be a good idea to ask for the drawbar.
