I have holes in the oil bath reservoir that I have tried patching with jb weld, but they still seep oil. I'm thinking about lining the inside of the bowl with aluminum foil and glueing it in place. What do you think? Any better ideas?

I think you'll end up still leaking. Aluminum foil is so thin and tears so easily. Can't you find a good used one?

Would Glyptal Enamel paint be thick enough to seal? I have had great success with Marine Tex two part epoxy, only after a light sand blast of affected area. CM

I soldered mine up with a pretty big electrically powered soldering iron.
As said above, it's gotta be clean and use liquid soldering acid.

Silver solder, not the low heat solder used on electrical connections. Flame on the outside, tinning with the silver solder on the inside make sure it going to adhere and puddle. Use regular silver solder flux. Silver solder tin pieces in for big holes.

I'm with Joe on the silver solder, it is so handy to do a lot of different tasks, have fixed many rubbed through steel hydraulic line with good success.
