On the clutch spool there is a tab that goes toward the DD spool, and pushes that spool in whenever the clutch spool is actuated, There is a snap ring that holds it in place, that could have got out of place, also if the valve has been worked on, the spool could be 1/2 turn off with the tab pointing away from rather than at the other spool, both spools have the metal tabs so check both.

Thanks for sharing and helping solve case tractor issues. The wealth of knowledge you have is priceless! And to all the others that offer their advice Thank you so much for taken the time to help others keep case alive.

Thank You 1370, I am 8 yrs retired and these tractors have been my life,I started working where I retired in 1962 a couple weeks out of High School. It gets frustrating at times when people who have never seen the insides give totally false info and the guy on the other end hasn't a clue who knows what, I could have a lot of enemies believe me. I can pick them out in a heartbeat. My tongue has a lot of teeth marks on it LOL. It is great to be able to share and When I go all I've learned goes along so if I can help someone along the way It makes me very happy.

(quoted from post at 12:37:30 12/15/21) THANKS found problem, clutch side tab is gone

Same thing happened to me. I got a replacement from John Saeli, but he's sick now, so it may be a while before they are back up and running.

Thanks Mel. Looking fwd to your insight as I get into my 611-B Case-o-Matic this winter. CM I owe you a call. I enjoy our conversations.
