I'm looking for one of the Ford Industrial engine experts to please check and confirm the following Casting Code that is on a 4 Cylinder Ford Industrial engine I'm considering purchasing to confirm if it's a 172ci or 192ci. The Casting Code is D3JL 6015J. Thanks in advance.

From everything that I'm finding, that should be a 172 ci engine.

If you search the web for D3JL6015J it overwhelmingly comes up as a 172 suitable for 800/801/4000 4 cylinder tractors. Try the search, lots of comments from respected old-time YT members.
