Deere LA rear tires

Actually I should have said L (which is what I really have). I thought they used the same tire, but you are correct.
Jim

LI & L use the 22 while the LA has the 24. Try Miller Tire. They should have them. I got front for my LA from a local tire dealer. They said it was getting harder to get some of the smaller sizes in the Northeast.

I recently heard that they are no longer making new 22's. You'd better find some in a hurry or keep your eyes open for some good used ones here on the YT site or eBay. JimO

Go to the nearest getto tire shop as the boys in the hood are putting big tires on their rides all the time. Maybe you can get a set of spinners too ?

I actually thought about that, but I think they tires would be too wide. I would also have to paint the spinners JD green

LOL ; May not have a choice ? just like in the old days when alot of those L's seemed to of had truck rims and tires fitted to them.

Have you checked with the Ridenours ? I think their site is www.antiquejohndeeretractors.com

I"ll check with the guy I got my tires from locally and see if he has any in stock. He"s got about 8 trailers full of new tires plus a full building of stock.

I'm working with Steve Ridenour right now. Going to try to find something to go 24". I have a good set of 22" rims. Do wish I could find some tires for them. Right now I do have the semi tires on it, but they probably won't get much traction if I use the tractor for cultivating.

Depends on type of tread how much traction they would give, an agressive truck tire probably would be OK for cultivation, possibly even plowing on non sod ground, if you loaded them then they should be OK for most anything that tractor can handle.

I don't think you will find the 6.00-22 tires any more. I use 7.50-22's on my L'S, as they were optional on those tractors. They are available from Miller, and someone else has put their e-mail address on this site. Good luck.

Talked with my local tire shop today. No 6.00-22's in stock. He said he would try and see if he could find a set for me. The 7.5-22's might be the way to go!

I did talk to Miller's last week when someone suggested them. They can no longer get the 7.50's either. Thanks for the suggestion though
Jim

I did just talk to the "antique tire specialist" at Miller's. He was not there last week. They are trying to purchase the molds for the 7.50x22 from firestone, then they plan on making them again. Could be 6 months to a year, "if" things work out.
