Dexta hydraulics don't lift

Sorry if this was already on here somewhere, but my Dad is having a problem with the hydraulics on our Dexta and I am hoping you would have some suggestions on how to fix it. We recently replaced the position control pin and after reassembling everything it lifted just fine when we tested it, but when we put our brush hog on to mow our field, it would not lift. While I was at work Dad put a high lift jack under the lift arms and raised them, with the brush hog still attached, and it stayed at that height, but would not raise under the tractor's own power.

I suppose the problem can be summed up as the hydraulics don't raise the lifting arms while under a load, but can maintain elevation if raised by an outside factor. What's going on here?

Are your inlet strainer and exhaust filter clean? Did you do a pressure test?

Maybe an o ring is not seated well and you lose pressure. Unload valve may be acting up. Many causes possible. Was it able to lift loads before you replaced the cam follower?

Recently had to replace a dexta hydraulic pump which was broken in two pieces somehow. That meant replacing pump with one from a breaker.
