Difference in Super 66 and 550 engine?

what is the difference in the Super 66 and the 550 engine? Are the blocks the same for the gas and diesel? I do know that the 550 used the Roosa master pump on some tractors. Thanks for any info.

and are the 550 and 660 the same engine?

I put a 66 engine in a Super 55 once. The 55 was a diesel, the 66 was gas, The only thing that had to be changed was the exhaust manifold. It came out the top on the 66 and out the side on the Super 55.

Far as I know they are very similar. There may be minor differences. Some exterior things like air filter,radiator hookup. Not sure on internal components as later ones had more power but could be bore stroke, cam, bigger valves. But that is not a big issue.
