Don,
My Fathers family farmed just 7 miles west of Highland. I still have cousins who farm in Highland. I also have a friend who was Fire Chief and a long time resident farmer from that town, he sent it to me.
Longer story shorter, several years ago I listed one of my Eagle Hitch BER plows for sale. A gentleman contacted me to buy it around Christmas time. He was having a hip replacement in a week so I wished him well and told him I don't need any money, as far as I was concerned the plow is yours. We stayed in contact for months, his surgery went well, but his recovery was slowed by a fall he took. Fast forward he apologized to me and told me he can't buy the plow as he cannot get up on his 411 anymore. He sent me a check in the mail and a note again saying he was sorry to have to back out of the deal along with a substantial amount. We went back and forth about how I didn't want anything from him except to feel better. But some guys you can't argue with.
Fast forward to this January, he contacts me again offering me first refusal on his 411 that he has decided to sell, if I didn't want it he was going to consign it to auction come May. Needless to say I bought it, sent away for it's build card and was very surprised to find out where it came from. Man I bought if from, bought it a the original owners estate auction 7 years ago. Im the 3rd owner. So when I go the 300 miles south to bring it up to my home, it will be the first time its ever been more than 50 miles away from where it was shipped too.... But, I'll have it only 35 miles south of Racine.

That is some great history on the tractor. Most of them here just show up with little or no history. Little town of Dempster SD is about 4 miles from here and had a Case dealer. I remember going with Dad to get parts as a kid. Watched them unload A-6 combines from a railcar one time. Guess I should send for some of the build cards.
