I noticed the wiring on my tractor is wired incorrectly and would love some input on how to correct it. I see that the regulator on my tractor has three posts, which according to the shop manual is for a key start Super 55. The diagram indicates mine should be two posts. The way it's wired now, the lights don't work and I don't think the ammeter is working. The correct diagram for my tractor has two wires going to the regulator, B (battery) and L (load). The key start diagram has three terminals, L (load), B (battery) and F(field) with additional jumper wires from F on the regulator and the F (field) post on the generator, and A (armature) post on the generator connecting to the underside of the regulator. As you can hopefully see in the diagrams, the way my tractor is wired is, I have a green wire going to the load terminal on the regulator and starts at the light switch, which on the key start is a shown as chrome, the red wire goes to the B terminal. Then there is a black jumper wire going to the F post on the generator and the F terminal on the regulator. And there is a light blue wire going from the A post on the generator to a terminal on the bottom side of the regulator. I did an online search and having a hard time finding a two terminal regulator. Can I just remove the jumper wires that go to the field and armeture?

Hey brother
How have things been?
Plodding along, can't complain. I have split this dang tractor at least 3 times and still get tranmission leaks out the pto. I'll probably split it again this winter. Need to figure out this wiring. As you can see the diagram is a lot different between the key starter and the pedal starter.
