Easy Off Oven cleaner

Frank,
Yes, I have successfully used for several such tasks. Not only can it free up stuck parts, but sometimes it is perfect for removing stubborn grime. However, be careful when spraying it. It contains sodium hydroxide and you really don t want to breathe that.

What was your method? Spritz and slap (a wrench on it)? No penetrating oil works instantly.

Usually folks do the "spritz and slap." The bolt comes out, and whatever they spritzed it with becomes the most bestest penetrating oil ever, and everything else is junk... Reality is the bolt was never stuck to begin with.

Haven't tried it on a stuck bolt but it will remove the possibility of leaving your fingerprints should the need arise. Lol

Wikipedia also says:

Sodium hydroxide is frequently used in the process of decomposing roadkill dumped in landfills by animal disposal contractors.[33] Due to its availability and low cost, it has been used by criminals to dispose of corpses. Italian serial killer Leonarda Cianciulli used this chemical to turn dead bodies into soap.[35] In Mexico, a man who worked for drug cartels admitted disposing of over 300 bodies with it.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I don't think the reference to "orange juice" was a recommendation but more of a dig at WD-40!

Now if you mix the orange juice with vodka it might help in other ways, but put tools away and find a comfy chair before imbibing.
