Farmall Super C and C 20 Plow

I have a Super C with a fast hitch and a fast hitch C-20 Plow. Which manuals do I need to correctly set up the plow and tractor? I understand that the C-20 has its own manual as does the Super C tractor. I thought I also saw a separate manual for Super C fast hitch implements. Thank you

FWIW, you can come pretty close to right settings by (1)having the rear wheels set out from the axle housing about 3" or 4". (2)You need the RH telescoping arm (yellow outlined) extended from the back loop of the RH Touch Control to the front of the FH yoke. This controls the depth of the plow. (3)You need the LH arm from the Touch control to the bellcrank (black outlined). This controls the side tilt of the plow, especially useful for controlling excessive cuts for the back furrow and dead furrow. Probably the single most missing piece of the puzzle, but they are out there. Your arm will sit under left side of the transmission cover, unlike mine. The 200 in the picture had a rough life before I got it. Make sure the (2) and (3) are on separately controlled arms of the Touch Control. (4)Take out the blue circled pins (both sides) so that the hitch can swing side to side, and so you can drop the FH all the way down when plowing. Control the plow depth as stated in (2). Pictures are from my 200 (same setup as Super C) and C-20 plow. Enjoy, its a great setup. I learned to plow on Dad's Super C in the early 60s. Still use one for plow days.

Are you saying that the arm on the left side is usually missing? Is it necessary? Would you be willing to send me more pics of that arm? Nice tractor by the way.
I have a super c with factory wide front and front wheel weights, fast hitch with swinging drawbar s d two sets of rear wheel weights. It also has the hand hook to release the fast hitch locks from the seat and every single little special nut, bolt, clip and such. I will try to post pics. Thank you for the help

Yes it is often missing as I think it is only used for leveling the plows. I can get you a picture in a bit after the rain let’s up a little. Mike

Is the C-20 a 2-14 or 2-16 plow?
most likely 2-14, tho I think it could also be set up as 2-12s. Measure the beams side to side spacing. 16" didn't come into much use until the mid-late 60s, when the tractor horsepower races really heated up. C-20 is early 50s vintage with the Super C and fast hitch.

How important is it to have the touch control heat gauge working?

So plowing will not overheat it?
It will not. Usually the hydraulics are used to lift amd then lower at the headlands of the field. the plow depth should remain constant. if there are really tough spots in the field, raising the plow incrementally to get past them is not a dramatic use. Yhey normally do not heat up much at all. Jim
