Fender ??? i mean Tank

Good Afternoon everyone. in my previous and only post so far i noticed something i didn't catch when i was taking photos of the New Major i got for free. In the pic i see that instead of a fender on the left side there appears to be a tank. Is this a hydraulic fluid tank or a auxiliary fuel tank? What company would have made this as I would love to do some research on this but am coming up short.

Thanks for any ideas you can give on what this is.

Someone had a backhoe on that tractor some time ago, my fordson backhoe has the same tank, probably still runs your loader. You can actually weld tabs to that to bolt the rest of the fender on if you find one. Free is a good deal, looks like it doesn't have a 3 point hitch but has a pto so its not an industrial tractor. Hopefully the engine didn't suffer the same fate as mine.
Good luck

My Major with a Sherman loader and backhoe has a VERY similar hydraulic oil tank, was part of the Sherman equipment package, I assume.
