Well, It looks like you and I are in the same boat, Ferguson Farmer!
A while back I replaced the Hydraulic pump in my 1957 Massey Ferguson TO35: solved one problem but gave me another.
I'll try to make this brief. I attempted to make adjustments to the hydraulic lift system's vertical levers via the horizontal rods and springs connected to the levers. The manual says to adjust the spring pressure to 3 lbs. at the bottom of the levers. My problem is either they require too much pressure to move or no pressure at all. I also watched Gingell's video.
Yesterday I experimented with different tension on the springs, but that didn't help. If the draft position controls are set to the adjustment position (draft control between dots, and position control at fast) and I try to move the position control lever, it moves the draft lever. The position control will rase and lower the arms but in the wrong area of the quadrant. If I move the draft control lever to the top position, and the position control to up, it's like I just put on the brakes. Obviously something needs adjustment, or replacement. Maybe the rollers have worn down!
Something ain't right and I have yet to figure it out.
