Ford 2000 carb issues

Hello all. I have a 69 Ford 2000. I am having issues with the carb. It's the Zenith model. I put a new kit in it and now the tractor barely idles and will not rev. It eventually just dies out. I adjusted the idle mix needle and speed screw as per the manual. But the carb floods every time and the spark plugs are wet with fuel and fouled up no matter how I adjust the mixture needle. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like it's over fueling, did you set float level to where it should be? Did you check if float travels without binding and that the float hasn't started leaking and partially filled with fuel? I also do a simple check to see if needle & seat are sealing by adapting a piece of hose to the fuel inlet and blow into it by mouth and see if the valve stops the flow as you turn the carb over and starts flowing again as you turn it back and forth a few times. Also have you tried with the air intake hose removed incase you have a plugged air filter?

could try a fleabay/amazon model around 20 bones or so thats similar if youre already staring at the abyss
--just make sure the stud distance matches yer original

you can make a candle-lit altar for your original if thats yer scene- to each their own-- my replacement carb has been doing well
