Cleaned up the Holly carb on a terrible running 3000, took it apart and noticed there was no float valve spring. I ordered a kit that was mostly new gaskets and a few other parts I really didn't need, but no spring was included in the kit. I put it back together, and it still ran like crap. Then I found an IT manual with an exploded drawing of the carb, and it shows there actually is supposed to have a spring, as well as a photo that shows the spring and how it is supposed to look installed. Where can I find a spring for one of these ? Or, I might even have to look for a salvage carb.
