Friend mentioned the other day about a guys tractor he worked on years ago and said it was the G1000 Spirit of 76, had stars and stripes on hood. Does anybody have a picture of one?? thanks chris

I'd like to see one too. The only stars I remember seeing on Moline hoods were the ones in the mid '50's like the 5 star and those did have 5 stars in a row.

I have seen 5 stars with 2 different sets of decals. Some have the stars in a row, and some the have the stars in a circle. The Heritage paint scheme was available in the early 70's for the G1050, G950, G1350, and A4T-1600. The normal yellow parts were painted red, and the normal long black strip above the Minneapolis Moline lettering was painted blue. There was a white strip on the fenders that contained 5 blue stars.

there were actually 3 or 4 different Decals variations on the 5-Star.

someone might have "made" a Spirit of 76 G-1000, I've seen 4020 JD's done that way as a kid, but JD never did it. or it's a Heritage, which iirc were done in 1970-71 era. The Heritage were NOT Spirit of 76, as some tend to think.

Here is a G-950 Heritage, A4T Plainsman, and a Case 1570 Bicentennial Tractor.

The pictures posted are good examples. The only "Spirit of 76" tractors I know of were the bigger Case 70 series 2 wheel drives. 1570 for sure, I'm not positive but I think the 1370 too.

I'm more of a sucker for the Black Knights, but that's probably because I'm north of the 49th. I wish minnie-mo did that on a G1000.

Those Molines are "Heritage" not Spirit of '76. they were built in 1970-1971 nothing to do with 1976, as so many people think. they are the "early" 50 series, with plastic "bubble noses"

Have trouble with a G1000, it is leaking hydraulic oil into clutch housing. The lube pump was not working and i fixed it. Now I have this new problem. I split the tractor but can not find a seal anywere. Could really use some help thanks.
