Governor issue on Farmall 100

Replaced the surge spring and went through all my adjustments. Got it idling right at 450-500 rpm’s and no surging when given throttle. If you go from idle to full throttle, it surges 1 to 1 1/2 times before leveling out. I did adjust the speed adjustment bolt on top of the governor also and that seemed to help. I’ve not taken it out of the shop for a test drive yet but hopefully the issues are solved. Thanks to all for the advice and guidance.

magnetic dampening.
That series of engines are touchy and surge prone. I have often thought of using one of these to dampen surging. Jim
