I remember seeing something like those on the real early J I Case mounted corn pickers. I think they bolted to the rims to extend them out a couple extra inches to clear the side of the picker. But something also tells me it was only used on the left rim and not on the right one. The 50" doesn't make sense thou. You might try posting the pic and question on the Case board and see if you get any replies. Gerald

OK thank you for the information.....I will try and see if I can get the answer to this.....

They look like what is referred to as an overtire for steel wheels they attach to the cleat of a steel wheel and offer the option to travel down the road without causing damage to the surface or the cleats.

Thanks for your information......So the width is 50 inches and so then it would work on a steel wheel that , including the height of the cleats would be just under 50 inches.......that sounds right......I think I heard some people refer to them as "Road rims"....but I was thinking you took the cleated rim off and just put theses on...but it now makes more sense to just make it easy with a " Bolt on and off " procedure.......

If that is what they are, they must have been bolted on to different setups in their past life.

As the bolt patterns look to be all over the place.

well I agree that they look like there are maybe 2 patterns...but both are exactly drilled the same ...so I guess they have been on different wheels ..I do not see any stampings or marks anywhere on them....all I know is the old guy I got them from said he remembers buying them 35 years ago at an auction and there was 2 sets of wheels..for sale.....He did not get the other set ....and that set had cleats .... .he ended up buying these...and he knows nothing about farm or tractors...he just wanted them for yard decorations...for his driveway...so he has no clue either..
