I'm hoping someone here can at least point me in the right direction.
I came across these mags that I had packed away 15 or 20 years ago because, although I had no idea what they were from, I always hang onto mags "just in case". I still don't know what they are for and I figured finding them again was a sign that I ought to figure it out.
I have seen many of these listed for tractors, stationary engines, motorcycles, autos/trucks and oftentimes they look the same to me. I'd like to figure out what specifically they were originally used on.
The first one is a SIMMS. The base is in bad enough shape that is all I can make out.
The next one just says SPLITDORF on it. I did see "09166" stamped on it.
The 3rd one is a Splitdorf AERO. I didn't see any identifying marks on it other than a list of patents with the most recent being in 1917.
The last one is a Fairbanks Morse Type FM and it has a J stamped on it.
Any help is appreciated.
