Hello,
I'm a newbie and purchased my first tractor last summer at auction. It's a Mahindra 5525, (55HP/2WD) that was produced around 2013. The tractor did not come with a front end loader. A couple of months after purchasing the tractor, I bought a FEL at a different auction. Based on some basic measurements, it appears that the loader may physically fit my tractor. Even if it doesn't, I should be able to flip it and help with some of the tractor repairs I am incurring. The loader is very heavy, and lifted the front end of my 18 ft, 2000 lb trailer whenever I pulled it off the trailer. So.. while it may fit my tractor dimensions, I am unsure of the weight. I wish I had thought about running by a weigh station prior to unloading.
Anyway, on to my question..
Based on photos I have seen on the internet and comparison with my loader, it appears that the loader is a Davis design. In particular, my loader appears nearly identical to one that I saw in a photo of a Massey Ferguson Work Bull 202 (40HP). Although the design appears identical, it is my opinion that my loader may possibly be a tad larger than the one I saw on the 202.
Unfortunately, I don't have measurements at the present time. I can certainly get measurements, but the loader is located 30 minutes away from my home.
Please see the attached photos. If anyone can help me identify this loader, I would be EXTREMELY grateful. That might help me nail down the weight, capacites, etc.
Thanks in advance!!
Steve C.
