Help Selling 640

I'm selling my property west of San Antonio so I won't have any use for my 640.
I have no idea what to ask for it. Tried getting an idea on many sites, but I really saw nothing useful.
New radiator, water pump, electronic ignition, recent clutch job, rebuilt front end, new front tires, hydraulic top link.
No known mechanical issues.

Depends on what part of the country you are in. Check various sources of advertisement for your area to see what others are asking.

Central Texas.
What I've found so far are either junk, restored or some that have been repainted and maybe some repairs.

Your tractor is nearly 70 years old. The picture does not look like the original paint, and you suggest that it is not junk. To me, that suggests that it has been repainted and you list some "repairs" and/or upgrades. I would speculate that the radiator, water pump, clutch, front end, and front tires were replaced or repaired because the original parts were worn out. Where I live in Indiana, the advertised asking prices for such a tractor seem to be in the $2000 to $4000 range.

Do you have any implements that you are selling too? A package deal could help move stuff quickly and get you some more $.

I think I also see a hydraulic top link, adjustable sway bars and some front weights. Those would help increase the $.

You're not going to find one EXACTLY like yours so you know EXACTLY how much to ask. Besides three different people could all be selling the exact same tractor and their prices be off by $1000's. There's a lot of variability in tractor pricing.

What you have found should give you an idea of the price range. So let's say someone's asking $1000 for a junk one and another guy is asking $10,000 for a restored one. Your personal evaluation says your tractor is somewhere in the middle, so $5000 seems like a good starting point in this example. Think about it for a minute, and see if the number feels high or low to you. Remember you can always lower your price, so start on the high side.

mention "its ready for work" tell em, why be a sucker and pay a great price for a bad tractor-- pay a fair price for a great tractor. ready to work, comes with back blade itchin to carve out your next triumph. why pay $3,000 for a toy lawnmower that comes with a plastic transmission at the local store-- get some real work done with this dependable machine.

I've got a gent who's into tractors and helps the high school with the buying and restoration of tractors coming to look at it and the implements.
There's 5' shredder, 7' heavy box blade, scraper, landscape rake, boom pole.
I'm 300 miles from the tractor so this will be a great help since I don't want to make the 5 hr. drive there.
That's the main reason for selling the place.

Opinions are like that brown part of our bodies and everyone has one, so mine says $3,000 is closer than $5,000

300 miles away! Unless you’re looking for a road trip, any decent deal and avoiding a 600 mile rounder is worth considering.

It's all about location, and what people want. In my area if it doesn't have a 5 speed and live power, nobody wants it at any price. I saw nice 1964 2000 the other day and the guy couldn't get $2000.00 out of it.

Everyone has one. Agree with Welding Man. Near here that's a 2400 tractor at best. There must have been a lot of great Ford dealers around here because there are tons of them laying around. Last time driving to the south farm I counted 8 old Fords and that's just the ones seen from the road while driving.
