How to Polarize Generator with Cutout Relay

Hello,
I am going through the electrical system on a 1939 Farmall H that I recently bought, and I know that I need to polarize the generator. The tractor has its original 6 volt, positive ground electrical system with a cutout relay, NOT a voltage regulator. I can’t seem to find a video on how to polarize a generator like this with a cutout relay - because it uses a cutout relay, it is a 3 brush generator. Does anyone know how to polarize this type of generator?
Thank you!
Noah

Momentarily jumper across the two terminals on the "cutout".

Good morning Noah, good question here’s my answer how to polarize a generator that used a cutout relay:

Use a jumper wire to momentarily flash from the battery’s neg post to the ARM post on the generator and you should get a small spark. If alls well and wired correct same things accomplished by jumping bat terminal to gen/arm terminal on the cutout relay. Do this BEFORE start up
