do you have the 540 o the 1000 rpm pto drive? if you have the 540 pto drive the pto output shafts on the early 706s were shorter by about an inch. the later 706s had the longer shafts or the output shaft could have been broken and replaced

I have 1000rpm and 540rpm

what drive is the picker did the picker come off of a fast hitch /3point or a standard drawbar and what kind of drawbar mount is it going on? my dad had a fasthitch and the pto on the picker had a spring loaded coupler so when the subframe came up the coupler would engage and the spring held the coupler together

Do you 540 0r 1000 pto gear hook up? Iam useing 540 that might be my problem
