Yeah, getting on and off a B or C can be challenging for ol' guys but not "insurmountable". LOLGet on and off it a couple times before you hand over the cash.
What percentage of steam tractors sold are still in operation? If we all used Ole Georges thinking how many steam tractors or early ICE tractors would not be at shows now?
A great price for a tractor that looks like that. I just wonder why something so good looking and cheap hasn't been snatched up by now. It's been on Facebook for at least seven weeks.Looking at maybe picking this up but not really familiar with AC tractors. Location in Ohio if that helps. Thanks for any advice!

Since the OP lost the sale on the tractor it may be ok to hijack this thread now...That's a beauty, it is a straight 8?Definitely time to part out my 49 Pontiac! Buy it!!!View attachment 106081
At first I had a feeling that you might be pulling our legs George ... but as I continued reading, it seems you are serious. Somehow this website and the parts that are sold from it and other suppliers would indicate that the hobby of buying, selling, and collecting old tractors is alive and well.I get an uneasy feeling about buying a tractor that is no longer in production.
My neighbor has a 1950s case tractor. The tractor runs fine. Parts are no longer available for his power steering.
It uses a quart of oil in 4 hours.
I have a 2000 and 2004 Terramites. Terramite went out of business, Parts are no longer available.
That is a little scary.
Recently Bane Welker, Case/IH dealer lost it's Kubota dealerships in Indiana. Bane Welker has about a dozen dealerships in Indiana.
Now I have a 2019 Kubota L3560 and no dealer support. I hope Kubota gets its act together before something major happens.
It's about 4 hour drive for me to haul my tractor to my Friends place in Dover Tn.
I heard of a guy in Kansas that drove to Terre Haute and cut the trees around a AC tractor and hauled it back for a parts tractor.
Conclusion, Think about some parts may not be available when you buy a 1939 used tractor.
My buddy says: The deal you don't do isn't the one that hurts ya.Unfortunately I have to deliver some bad news...it was sold. Thanks for all the responses everyone!
Yes. That was the main reason I bought it 29 years ago. Came a long way since then.Since the OP lost the sale on the tractor it may be ok to hijack this thread now...That's a beauty, it is a straight 8?
