JD 146 Farm Loader Control Valve leak

Howdy everyone! I have a JD 2630 with a 146 loader on it. The tractor is leaking oil in the normal spots after a life or two of hard work and of course also hydraulic oil at the remote couplers while the control valve also leaks. This is the two lever style and between those lever’s is a hole from which hydraulic oil mixed with who knows what bubbles up when the loader is in the closed position (all down).

Any thoughts on how to identify my specific model/serial/year for the control valve and whether it can be repaired or what would y’all’s recommendation be?

The loader works slow but well otherwise.

Welcome to the Forums.

Some pictures of the valve from a bit further away might shed more light on the possibility of repair along with info such as used red MN suggested in your first post. The loader originally would have had a serial number tag on it. Unfortunately, I don't know of any listing that relates loader serial numbers to the build year as are found for most tractors, even if the tag is still on it.

Below is a link to the online parts catalog you can look through to see if it helps you. There is also the possibility the valve has been replaced and is not one of the ones in the catalog.

Thanks for the suggestion, finally remembered when working on her.
