JD 469 Baler Arm Roll Threads Bar

I recently purchased a JD 469 Baler and had a bearing go out on my lower belt staggering roller. The previous owner (I assume) replaced one of the arm roll threads bar bolts in the roller with a SAE threaded bolt. I replaced both bearings. When reinstalling, I attempted to use the right (metric) bolt in the hole to no avail. I then decided to use the same SAE bolt that came out off it and reamed it off with a cordless impact before it bottomed out on the bolt's washer. What is everyone's opinion? Should I try to get the broke bolt out, drill and tap the hole for a bigger bolt? Or should I buy a new Arm Roll Threads Bar? Mainly wondering if it is feasible to fix or just start over.
Thanks,
Mike

If I looked at the right bar, I see a price of just under $1200 for the thread bar from my JD dealer. I would be finding a way to fix that bar, even if I had to have a machine shop bore it bigger, thread a plug in, weld the plug then drill and tap back to original. Try digging the bolt out and using a longer bolt. Or dig the bolt out and up size the threads to the next larger SAE or metric size. Another option is to try to find a used bar.

I found one online for $483 with free shipping using the JD part number. I would hope a machine shop would be cheaper than that. Thanks!!

Update: got the broken bolt out. Obtained a new bolt like what normally goes in there. While it was warm, the threads seemed to grab on to the bolt. Got everything back together and when I went to torque bolt, the threads broke loose. I thought I broke the bolt again but it was the rod threads. The bolt only grabbed about 3 rings of threads so I’m gonna get a longer bolt and will clean the rest of the threads (about 1 1/4” worth) when the tap I ordered comes in.
