JD Head on Claas 116

I bought a 116 CS Mobil Track a couple years ago with hopes of getting it back in the field one day. This combine hasn't ran crop in probably a decade or two so just going thru and making sure things are working. I literally fired the separator up for the first time just this weekend. I wish I had an operators manual but didn't get one with it, only parts books. If anyone can spare one, that would be great. Tips welcome too.

Anyhow, I have never been a fan of Claas heads so I thought I would adapt the feeder house to accept Deere heads instead. After taking some measurement, the openings between the Deere heads and the Claas feeder house exterior are actually quite similar. I had my fabricator make an adapter and I nabbed a few green parts to make it latch on properly. Here are some pics of the adapter and a new to me 893 corn head I just picked up freshly mounted on the 116. The next item I need to tackle are that driveshaft connections. The Claas feeder house drives from up high and slightly back, whereas the Deere shafts are low and close to the head. Attempting to connect the shafts as-is creates too much angle, so I will need to make some drop connections in order to straighten out the drive-lines. Anyhow, it's coming along. I don't know a whole lot about this machine other than it last ran corn so as far as settings, I should be ok. Some of the monitor junk isn't working and I'm getting a few stop warnings when the separator is engaged but everything appears to be turning so I'm thinking it's more electrical than mechanical. Having difficulty identifying the functions of some of the switches. I am better with labels than pictures, esp when the pictures are worn off lol.

3306 is a good choice. Not that I had anything against Mercedes, but in the right circumstances you can really get nailed on the parts.
