John Deere 318 starter problem and regulator rectifier update

This is an update on my John Deere 318. We put the new starter on, and still had the same issue. Picked up a good used flywheel with a good ring gear. Put it on, but there was an alignment issue with the new starter. Put the old one back on and it solved the clanging issue and it now sounds normal when it is started. We found the circuit breaker was bad, and we found some broken wire and fixed them. Apparently I had two bad regulator / rectifiers, so I bought a new one. Made sure that everything was all wired up correctly and good grounds, now the light is out and it is charging. Thank you all for your help!
