John Deere AR oil filter cover

Good day,

Anyone know the P/N for a round wire style snap ring that would work to secure the tension plate on the engine oil filter cover for an AR?

From what I can determine from the old parts manual they call for a A2444R which appears to be the "square cut" design plus it's larger O.D. seems like it might be prone to catching inside the filter when tightening the cover.

Also, is there a P/N for a replacement spring with ground / flat ends as the factory "hack job" spring looks like it'll do a poor job of keeping the plate pressed square against the filter? LOL

The A2444R looks like what you need, plus A2530R spacer. All the springs I have seen are just like yours. The snap ring is always a round wire material.

Here's the image the dealer had for the A2444R snap ring. They didn't have it in stock so we couldn't look at it in person to confirm whether the image was BS or not.

Good call on the A2530R spacer. I missed that in the parts book. It would help keep the proper tension on filter. Can only guess how many oil changes ago that was lost along with the snap ring? LOL
