Kubota owners manual says the battery discharges a half percent per day.

I haven't used my 5 year old kubora in about a month. 38 degrees and the original battery was complaining when I started it this morning.
I put a smart charger on it that will not overcharge. It will maintain the battery.
I'm planning to replace the battery with an AGM battery.
I got the best price for an AGM battery from Summit racing. It was $100 cheaper than any local auto parts store.
Do you know who has cheaper AGM batteries? Not interested in wet cells, only AGMs.
I think 5 years is long enough, I may get a few more months keeping it on a charger.
Thanks in advance for any advice on the Cheapest AMGs..
Your original post said nor ask about American made AGM batteries. You just ask about the cheapest. So I pointed you in the direction of Weize. I did not know Amazon sold them. All of the Weize batteries I have saw had, "Made In Germany" printed on them. They may be made in China now. But tell me what does Amazon sell that isn't?

Mule Meat,
You are right I didn't mention it had to be made in America. Then I clarified my request to include Made in USA after discovering your recommendation might be made in China.
End of story, I'm going with Delco, the parent company General Motors an American company>
I have seen too many factories move out of the USA. I want to do my small part to help American workers.
So far, Summit racing and Amazon have the same Delco battery at same the same price.
Only have a 36 month warranty. I'm sure the last Delco AGM, over 1000 amps I bought from Summit racing had a 4 or 5 year warranty.
If I recall the Kubota battery is a small battery, around 500 CCA. Not a lot of 500 amp AGM's available.
Thanks for your help.

Your Kubota must have a parasitic drain. We leave our JD 4600 sit in a garage in N MN for 5 months every winter, with no maintainer on it, and it starts right up. The first battery (JD Strongbox) lasted over 12 years, now it has a regular battery from Batteries Plus, it's a little over 10 years. I may replace it this spring even if it does start, I am getting nervous about shutting it off when I'm mowing our trails back in the woods. I once broke off a valve stem and had a flat tire, I had to walk out 4 miles.

Mornin neighbor, have fun in Florida I’ve been in Mt Dora, Eustis, Leesburg area often and loved it. Sorry no advice for any brand of batteries I have my opinions but don’t like to say in case it turned out for you lol Years ago seems like Johnson Controls or Deka made many for different vendors

I agree 100% to use Agm as I don’t like to check and add water or have acid spill over and corrode everything grrrr

I’m stuck in Lakeway Tx so will miss Florida, friends, tractor shows snd bluegrass after a 16 year run grrrrr hope to get home late March God and health willing

Ps. Sure I like cheap Also

However often cheaper means less capacity less cca. Again often higher price means more capacity more cca. How much is needed depends on engines e size type compression hp and especially temperature. If less cca does the job they are cheaper

Your tractor your temperature your money your choice however I still prefer agm end us made when possible

I've only bought one AGM battery from summit racing. So far so good, It was an OEM Delco.

AC Delco Battery Brand Origin

AC Delco is a brand that has a long history in the automotive industry. It is owned by General Motors (GM), one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world. AC Delco batteries were initially developed to provide power solutions for GM vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Originating in the United States, AC Delco has become a trusted and well-known brand for its association with GM and the quality of its products. Over the years, AC Delco has expanded its battery offerings to cater to a wide range of vehicles and applications, making it a popular choice among car owners.

I trust GM an American owned company. I don't care where they get the parts to make batteries. So far I'm leaning towards an AGM Delco unless someone comes up with a better American owned company.
I periodically receive emails (and, sometimes mailers from my dealer) from GM regarding parts, accessories, etc., that are currently being discounted. Received one last week informing me that Delco Gold and Silver series batteries are 20% until 2/28 off with coupon. No coupon? Ask parts (maybe service) manager and they will work around.

Use GM card and get enough reward points for one or two service trips (but no 5%).

FWIW: Costco sells Interstate batteries, AGM and otherwise. Use Costco/Citi card and get 4%.

Don't know if Interstate or Delco batteries are still American made. GM sold its battery plant decades ago.

i doubt gm makes their batteries or that the batteries are even built in this country. they are too busy screwing up other things to mess with building batteries.. i support you attempting to support the us economy 1 battery at a time, take it one step further and buy the battery from a local vender. your money will stay in the community help the local community. the guys that own amazon and summit won't really notice the extra income from your battery purchase

I have that problem with a 2019 Subaru Legacy. If it sets for 5 days its no start. Factory issued a a warranty extension to supposedly fix it. Had it done but I think the problem is still there. Before the extension I had local shop diagnose it at my cost and recommended pulling the PCM fuse. Problem fixed.
We had the same problem with our 18 Subaru outback, the dealer said the battery was good, but it needed a new computer, $1300 but they didn't have one in stock, thank goodness! It was 5 years old, so I put a new battery in it and the problem went away, my wife had read online that the OEM batteries were inadequate for the car. We traded it in on a new Ford last summer.

I got 20 years out of my original Kubota battery. (M6800) I do not use battery maintainers. Never have, never will. I use a manual battery disconnect if the tractor is going to sit for a while and then put the charger on before starting using start mode if it's cold. I told the dealer i wanted a new battery just like this one. They said it would be too expensive to order from Japan. They wanted to sell me an Interstate. i told them I wouldn't take an Interstate battery as a gift. I drove over to the John Deere dealer and bought their best battery as a replacement. 20 years! that was in 2021.

CHINA not USA???
Who makes batteries in the US?
Johnson Controls used to make most brands of batteries bought of store shelves, they were made in America.... but are they now? IDK

...If you have lots of time google it, I just did and it would take a week to read what information came up, lots to read and somewhere in there it probably tells you where the battery you desire is made.

Thinking about it I have brought 5 new Kubota tractors over the years and don't think I have ever seen one with Kubota stamped in the top of it like your picture. I have also read on here over the years on this site how good a Kubota battery is. My 2012 B3000 battery didn't last 5 years and I use the tractor almost daily since I've had it. I replaced it with a 40 dollar second battery and got seven years out of it. My 2018 M6500 still has the original battery in it but its getting tired and starts a little slow when real cold I've noticed so it will get that replaced by next winter. My 4 year old Kubota z turn gets a maintainer put on it now and then during the winter and seems be doing ok so far. All three of these I believe are assembled in the US plant so I'm thinking they didn't get one of the Japanese batteries others talk about being so good installed in them. May be the same reason Georges battery needs to be replaced already.
Sorry I can't help with the original questions as I know nothing about the batteries he's asking about.

The battery on my 2007 is 3.5 years old maintenance free battery. I have to keep a charger on it when not in use. It only has a 50 ma drain.
That is why I'm going to replace my Kubota battery with an AGM.
50AHr/50ma=1000 & 1000/24=41.667 days

Short of this bitter cold you should get 10 years + out of that original battery , I would not jump in a buy another one just yet
Mine original bota bat was on duty for 10 years the last year it was talking to me as it was tired very tired, so I retired it to my generator that may see action a few times a year. I doubt I will ever see another last 10 years in my bota. It does not matter its the cost of doing business and not a good idea to push a weak battery as long as you can. My bota is on a maintainer as of now when I go to use it I am not looking to fudge with it.

Ford is taking a big hit now over defective batteries I have seen a truck load of them and experienced one myself. I am gonna wager they were made in china are Israel. At any given time they can go open circuit.
