Land tire size: JD 4B

It's time to replace the land tire on our JD 4B plow. Old tire doesn't show a tire size--I know it's 16". The book lists it as 16" but doesn't show the size, otherwise. Does anyone know if a 6.00 - 16 will fit the rim? Or do we need to stay with a 5.50?

Thanks.

If it has a 55.0 and you want a 600. I would put it on .then just let that side down a bit with the hand crank for that side if it has one or raise the other side yo some if it doesn't. The drop with the rope clutch will still be the same just adjusting for tire size on a small amount.

How wide is the rim ?

I think the outside diameter of tire is very important because of the depth lever range of lift. Because any tire to small or large will put the depth of the plow outside the design. You'll not get the full range to lift or lower the plow depth.
