Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

I agree with being meticulous on the tear down and reassembly. A misplaced, forgotten or accidently damaged part will cause you way more problems than you already have.

Hello everyone and thanks for any help in advance!
So I have a long 360 that was being used by the previous owner to yank a stump. He suddenly lost all power to the rear wheels.
I have the tractor in my shop and removed all access covers and final drives.
I’ve found nothing broken, pieces, shards chips or any medal of any kind at bottom of any area. Power comes thru the transmission with no issues so it’s 100% not the clutch, pressure plate or release bearing. It seems to be some issue with transferring power to the axles in the rear end but that’s an area I’m not familiar with. I see a hole in each pinion gear at the top and bottom of the pinion shaft. Would that have a pin or is it only there for oiling?
jack up one side at a time and put the tractor in gear to check them axle splines , possibly one is stripped. grab the wheel and try to turn it with a good force trying to get the splines to jump. if the wheel turns u found your problem. probably need the brakes on also. and also that diff. looks worn right out from what i can see on the crown gear and axle gears. check the backlash as that will show how much wear there is. a crown gear that size would have like maybe .010 clearance between the crown and pinion teeth. u need a dial indicator then rock the crown back and forth not turning the pinion.

DW FYI, “crown gear” is another name for the “differential ring gear” or “differential drive gear” It is a good practice to check ring gear back lash on the used gears. Then strive to set it back to that when reassembling.
