The 5000 is a C204412 Thinking a 1968 with a model number of 52024C---What does the model say about this tractor???

Thanks for the help....

42024C is a 4000 row crop model (also called a 4200) with a gas engine, independent 540 rpm PTO and an 8 speed transmission. C14089 is a partial serial number. The C at the beginning says that it was assembled at the plant in the US. If 14089 are the first 5 digits of the 6 digit serial number, then it would be a 1966 serial number. The 4 at the beginning of the model says that it was made before 4/1/1968 for sure, as the first character of the model number changed fro 4 to D on that date.

52024C is a 5000 row crop model (also called a 5200) with a gas engine, independent 540 rpm PTO and an 8 speed transmission. C204412 is a full proper serial number with 6 digits following the letter. The C at the beginning, again, says that it was assembled at the plant in the US. It is a 1968 serial number, but since the model number starts with a 5 instead of an E, it was most likely made in early 1968.

If you can find the third number for each tractor, we can tell you the exact dates that they left the assembly line.
