Hello!
This is my go to group for sh+t problems!
We have a mahindra 2018 85 mpower tractor, just got a month ago used and was not well cared for. We serviced the whole thing and have been using it for having the cows. Now baling 2nd cut is the job. Had it out in the field yesterday and shut it off to switxh tractors, then it wouldn't start when we got back in.
Thought it wasn't getting fuel. Can't find much info on it. Can't find a fuel shut off.
What we know:
1.There is fuel in the line and the fuel tank and filter is good, not clogged.
2.It cranks but won't start.
3.It clicks after but sound rough (we think from no fuel reaching it.)
4.Pulled the one switch but it was a pressure regulator (husband thought it was a shut off solenoid that was bad but when we saw the part was the regulator he doesn't think that's the problem)
5.He held his finger over the intake to pump while I cranked and there is no suction.
6.We couldn't find a fuse to check.
7. If used ether to start, it fires up but shuts off
Now he thinks it's the fuel pump is shot.. can they be rebuild or is new the way?
Any other ideas to consider or check? Anything we missed?
We just aren't familiar with mahindra and there isn't a lot out there that I can find.
