Massey 30B hydraulic problem

Loader lift and tilt no longer working. It has a Cessna 33100 control valve for the Joystick. I should check the pressure relief valve before pulling the pump. Anybody know where the heck it is?

Thank you 1981. I finally found the pressure relief valve. It looks fine and my hope that some little broken spring was causing all my problems has vanished. I like operating my MF 30B and was hoping I could somehow get out of boring repair and maintenance. Not to be.

If you took the pressure relief valve apart, you might have changed the adjustment so now you should check the relief pressure with a gauge once you get it operating again.

Still no joy. I have a MF 30B with a MF24? loader. Won't go up nor curl. 3 pt works fine. It has a front mount hy pump. I checked the pump drive shaft (ty damn1981). It looks ok. Changed the hy fluid filter. It looked ok. Fluid is arriving at joy stick, just not with much pressure.

Did you you pull pump off when you check splines and pump splines
Other than that pump could be bad but would need to use a flow meter or take off and pull it apart see what it looks like
Pulling relief will not change pressure
If you need a pump I have some contacts could see if they have a good used one also if you were in southern ca would come check it for you let me know

TY damn, Pulled front pump and examined drive shaft w 7/8 13 spline. Looks fine. Don't have a flow meter. Could I just pump into a bucket and measure gpm with my stop watch? Checked pump with a stethoscope. Sounds ok.

Does it have hydraulics
On scraper? cylinders and a valve. you can pull line off control valve and see if power beyond plug let screwed out see. Maybe twice in forty years.
. Also you can have flow but without pressure that why you have flow meter you turn it down to restrict pump and see if it stays at rated output which should 18 or so gallons per minute at 2000 psi

Yes, it has hydraulics on the scraper. I'm going to translate "see if power beyond plug let screwed out see." to mean "see if power beyond plug is screwed out"? If it was, I bet it would leak a lot of fluid. I'll check.
Lacking a flow meter, I'll try to measure flow rate into a bucket, then restrict flow and see if enough pressure develops to maintain rated flow. It presently seems like substantial flow. I just haven't measured it yet.
I can probably get a hydraulic pressure meter. Where would I attach it?

It won't leak fluid it is internal plug
Tee
Into bucket cylinder line curl side
Or straight into valve curl side of bucket

damn1981, you were right all along. I could feel spines in the pump drive shaft so I thought it was fine. Then I started thinking about the first inch with no splines, did some measurements and easily concluded that the first inch of the shaft is where spines need to be. I replaced the shaft and now my MF is purring. Thanks so much.

Put a washer on front of threads will
Push it back a little farther for new splines
40bs and 50cs had them if want oeM other wise buy heavy grade 8 washer
