Anybody done this.... Came across a 2090 that needs rescued. It popped out of park, rolled down a hill, took an unauthorized trip across a field and into a holler. She was stopped by a 16" cherry tree to the front axle. The front end is mangled and ripped out. It hit hard enough that it broke the weights off the weight rack, broke the front casting up real good.
Anyway, my hairbrained idea is... I have a really good 870 axle, tombstone, and steering unit here. Bolt it on to the block, rig up some hydraulic lines to connect the steering, make temporary radiator mounts to fit the 870 tombstone. Maybe it will be able to drive itself out of the mess it is in once it dries up, then bring it home and asses the damage better,
Are the steering pressures compatible???
