MF 135 W/Perkins gas motor

Hello,
Been a while but I am considering taking in a MF135 with Perkins 3 cyl gas , The guy said it ran when he parked it. Has 3000 or so hours on it. SN 9A106453. Engine stamped 37111500/2. Seat is rotted away. Been in a barn for the last 10 or 15 years. I revived a TO35 with continental engine before. I have ZERO experience with Perkins.
Needs a little work but if the engine is OK and the hydraulic pump is OK it shouldnt be too bad. Looking for input.......
Guy wants $750 for it as it sits.
Thanks for your help.

It’s probably worth 5 to 600 dollars for scrap so if the tin is good and the tires hold air and the engine is not seized or some call it stuck I’d bring it home if it was close to me in southern Alberta.

If it was near me it would be on it's way home right now.

Parts are available for the relatively-rare Perkins gas engine, except for the intake manifold gasket. I inherited dad's 1972 MF 135 in 2004 and used it until last year when the head gasket blew and filled all cylinders with coolant.
At 82 I have lost the physical ability to overhaul the engine, so sold it to my nephew for $!,200, which reimbursed me for the new rubber I put on the tractor 3 years ago.
Within 2 weeks he had it totally rebuilt, New cylinder liners, rings, bearings, etc.; except for the intake manifold gasket, which he had to make by tracing the old gasket onto a sheet of gasket material.
Invest in a MF 135 service manual, it is a how-to for everything about a MF 135.
I bought a 2002 MF 451 tractor w/ 1040 FEL + pallet forks and 6' bucket attachments to replace the 135, and I'm happy with this tractor, but still miss the convenience of the smaller 135. Most poll results show the MF 135 to be the overall best utility tractor MF ever built.

I forgot to say; the local Massey Ferguson dealer told me he'd pay $1,200 scrap price for my 135 without the engine running. That's why I sold it to my nephew instead.

I've had both Perkins 3 cylinder 135's and both were excellent tractors. The gas is more expensive to run because the diesel just sips fuel. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (y)
