MF 65 hydraulic issues

My ‘59 65 has all of a sudden decided not to lift my front loader without weight. 3 point won’t lift anything over a few hundred pounds. Not sure how to diagnose the issue. Could my hydraulic pump failed? Believe it is original. Checked fluid, it is ok and at the correct level. It has alway be a slow lifter but now I really can’t use my loader or 3 point. Any suggestions or things to look for would greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Terry.

Details can help narrow things, guessing can be of track. Are all hydraulics running of the tractor internal hydraulics or does your loader have a front crank driven pump and reservoir in the loader frame? How is it plumbed? Best if you tell these things.

All hydraulics come from the internal system. Have a diverter valve to either use the 3 point or send hydraulic to the loader.
I worked slow but when I used it last, scooped up some dirt and it struggled to lift. It seemed to help to give it more throttle but still very very slow.

Is there a strainer on the 65 hydraulic system? If so, pull the lower bolts out of the PTO shifter cover and drain down to that level. Pull PTO lever and cover as a unit to access strainer.

I am not sure about the strainer. So it could be clogged? I will investigate. If no strainer, you think the pump went bad?.

Yes, it could be clogged badly. As to pump I'd fashion a pressure gauge out of the diverter valve where loader supply hose is connected. I don't know operating pressure for a 65 but my 150 is 2200 lbs I believe.

Tom, I finally had time to pull the PTO cover. There is no strainer or filter. I forgot to check pressure before I tore into it. Thoughts? Bad pump?

Here is an interesting thing. The hydraulic standpipe was bent going into the pump. O ring was trashed. I take it that could be my issue, losing pressure. Here’s the interesting thing. The standpipe measure 12”. All I can find online are 12.50”. Can’t seem to find one that fits a 65. Help!!! Anyone have any thoughts were I might get one

"Bent" Could the pump support pins be broken, letting the pump move around.
Check this site for parts.

Yes a bad o-ring could reduce pressure but should still be some. Wished you'd have checked pressure.

The end was actually rolled between the end of the o ring. It was working ok until a few weeks ago. It has always been slow to lift but now hardly and lift at all. If I can find a new standpipe, I will do a pressure test and let you know.
