I bought a 48 H that was used as a supply of parts for another H. When the guy finished, he went over the bones H enough to sell it. I bought it for $400 runniong, and have replaced the carb several times, and had the mag reworked twice. Been a great tractor since, but it cvame to me without any of the generator, generator holder slide bar, and/or anything else. When I get the parts I need, how do I wire it? Thanks

If you are not already into a 6 volt battery I would consider an alternator set up . There are several kits available for the conversion. 12 volt batteries are more common than 6volt, and in my opinion are better made than 6 volt since there are far fewer made. Just my 2 cents and worth exactly what you paid for it. Since you need to wire it this would be the time to make the conversion with few wires needed to do it. Lights can be changed if you want/need lights. There are bulbs that will interchange with the originals for 12 volt. No they will not be as bright as the latest and greatest but will let you see to not hit things. I don't know about biggest but JP tractor salvage in Fredricktown MO is very accommodating to work with and reasonable prices.

I've found a good way to find used parts is to google the part number. Sellers often come up and you can pick through the varied prices. Its possible even if you find a salvage yard they need part numbers to find stuff. Every salvage yard in the country has to have some H's as parts tractors.
