No clue what model this new idea manure spreader is. I found the identification plate but can only read New idea. Hasn’t ran in at least 15 years.

Might be #218 or #224., 218 is rated 318 bu. and 20'6" overall length, the 224 is 365 bu. and 22'6" overall. Dairy I worked at many years ago had one, worked good as best as I remember, however when you got toward the end of the load it got tail heavy and would bounce the drawbar pin out on rough ground.

I had one just like it when I started milking cows in 93. Can't remember the model number but it worked good. A few years ago I came across a few new pawls and springs I bought for it. Tom

Agree, probably a 225. Had both in 70's-80's.Remarkably good beater and frame. Mine were always rusting out and early ones had bogie wheel axles welded in and they broke off often.Later ones had axles in a sleeve so were easy to replace but they also didn't break.Used to put extra 2x4"s under floor wood and sheet plastic on top. 245 had double cylinders on gate and worm drive apron .
