New to me MF 135 - need advice on getting it running

Any suggestions on where to buy parts for a "tune up"?

Distributor cap, rotor, points, condenser, wires, plugs, etc.

Anything else right away?

Personally I'd try an get it running before spending any more than some gas an battery
Especially if you know nothing about it.
Very possible something major is wrong.

Good point. I may take that route; even skip the battery as I can use one from my boat as a loaner.

I guess a few new parts of a small investment (~$100?) could help ensure success vs. a frustrating first go.

As long as there's no wires chewed up from rodents I'd plop a battery in an crank her over
See what happens an go from there.
Check fluids first obviously

Continental Z145 engine just like my 135. It is a good tractor. I have mostly diesels but I keep this one because it starts easily no matter how cold it gets. (y)
