I posted about this Greenerd when I bought it last summer. It was pretty grundgy.
I wanted to clean it up but that's a good winter job for in the little heated office in my shop so I waited.
I had a friend draw up a .DXF file that a CNC machine can read for a new daisy wheel and sent it to a local outfit that does laser cutting. They said if I have time to wait till they're cutting something else that leaves a 3/4" thick remnant big enough they can do it much cheaper so I said I have all the time in the world.
That was a few weeks ago.
They called me today and said it was ready.
Cool!
It's too cold in my shop to drill the hole in the wheel for the center pin so I'll have to go back to drywall in the house tomorrow.
But it's still fun to get a part for something you're working on.
