Old Buda Motor - what model is it? Help?

I have a buda motor I pulled out of an old wooden boat. I am having no luck finding out what motor it is. I HAVE EVEN TRIED bUDA cO. / ALLIS-CHALMERS. Fill free to email me if you have any ideas. [email protected]

My guess is its a 273.

I think it may be a Buda/Allis Chalmers 6DAMR-779 it's a marine diesel engine and looks just like yours.

I got my old AERA cylinder block casting book out. I looked up Buda. All the Buda engine block casting numbers I have listed except for 3 numbers are all 7 digit numbers and start with the number four. The 3 that do not match are all 5 digit numbers. Now how long is this engine in inches. Next question: Can you get the model and manufactures information off the injection pump?
