Oliver 88 diesel

Hello all, I have an Oliver 88 with a 770 diesel engine in it and I'm having a hard time starting it. When I try to start it the starter turns the motor fast enough that it should start. It seems like it's not getting fuel. could it be low pressure on the injector pump? The only way to start it is to pull start it. once it's running everything works great except I can't lower the throttle below 1/4 throttle. Is there anything I can do to get the pressure up on the injector pump. it's a roosa master. Thanks for any help

Sounds like the injection pump hydraulic head is worn badly, hard starting when hot is the first sign.

Diesel tech is most likely right about worn head. Some people have had luck putting a high torque starter on.
